Mismatch bridesmaids!

Next to finding my dress, possibly the worst part of this planning so far has been trying to find a bridesmaids dress for my girls. After months of looking for something perfect, I finally threw my hands up in the air and told them to get any knee length, chiffon gown from Mori Lee in Patina Green. I'm extremely happy with this decision- I wanted them to feel & look like themselves and since they all have very different body types (one's short & busty, ones average height & pear shaped and the other's very tall & skinny), I also wanted them to feel comfortable in their dresses and look amazing. Originally, I'd considered just letting them get any knee length green dress but after my mum threw a fit about the fact that there wouldn't be anything matching and kept going on about how it would make them look like they were just another guest at the wedding so I finally decided to keep the same color, fabric, length & designer so that there was some similarity & cohesion between the dresses. Anyway, here's some super cute mis-matching bridesmaids!

I love the idea of having non-perfectly-matched bridesmaids too! My five girls and junior bridesmaid are so different in shape and size that I'd feel awful forcing them all into the same dress.

I've picked out the color and material and allowed each of them to pick the dress they feel most comfortable in. :)

I feel the same exact way you do. My FMIL said the same thing about it too. It's just so much easier this way to please everyone and have your wedding party looking great!

I see your mom's point about them looking like guests, that is true, but do what you want! It's your wedding and you don't want to look back and regret any of your decisions because you were trying to please others {I am constantly reminding myself of this too...it's hard!}.

If I were having bridesmaids they would definitely be wearing mismatched dresses. In fact, I would probably let them choose their own dresses.

I'm still bitter about certain bridesmaid's outfits I've been forced to wear in the past. ;)
